Hello Baseball family! We'd like to introduce our second Elly's Kid, Cody Risner. Cody has been working with us for almost one year and has made great improvements to his game. We're very thankful to have the opportunity to help Cody and appreciate his passion both on and off the field. Cody's mom helped prepare his profile for him which is featured below.

Cody Risner is a smart, big-hearted 15-year-old young man who loves God and his family. Cody has an older sister and two younger brothers.  He is a very dependable and hard working young man who loves making people laugh.  He is a freshman at Montgomery High School who runs Cross Country and wants to play baseball for his high school team.  From the day Cody stepped on the baseball field, he fell in love with the game, and baseball has been the place he could always go when things in life got hard.

When Cody’s father left him and his siblings, Cody ran to the baseball field to find the peace he needed to get through.  If you ask Cody to describe his favorite summer he would say it would be a summer full of playing baseball and volunteering as a camp counselor at the church for the annual Ark kids’ camp.

Elly’s Kids has been a great help for Cody.  Not only are the helping us finically with the fees for baseball, but they are building on Cody’s baseball skills and confidence.  As a single mom, it has been truly a blessing to be part of this great organization.

We look forward to continuing to help kids like Cody realize their love for the game of baseball or softball. If you would like to help players in need please consider donating to our foundation.
